Can't Navigate a clip!

Just installed 1.5.5 over 1.5 and now I can't navigate a clip using the on screen buttons, keys, or mouse wheel. Everytime I do I get "Error: Access violation at 0x0041FA67 (tried to read from 0X00FD1267), program terminated." There are no entries in the log file, other than VRD was started. Source video is a DVD+R recorded on a Sony RDR-GX7 and extracted with DVD Decryptor, something I've done countless times in the past. HELP!

Hello texneus, Please try build 225 from our FTP site: ftp://videoredo:videoredo@ftp.drdsystems.com/Betas/. Let me know if that fixes the problem. On the surface this isn't a known issue.

BTW, are you able to open any other clips? How about clips created by previous versions of VideoReDo?

Sorry I'm in slow mode but I've got countless other things going on right now. I was able to reinstall 1.5 and everything was working again. I tried a couple different clips and had the same problem with 1.5.5. I'll try the beta in a few moments.

Installed 226 and the original problem was resolved, however this version drops several frames at each edit point that 1.5 did not. The video then freezes during playback while the audio catches up which IMHO is not acceptable. I then re-installed 1.5 and ran the same project through it and it was successful. I'm giving you dumps from the log files, maybe you can make some sence of it?? Oh, and the source in the first post should have read DVD+RW, not a DVD+R (if it even matters).

Definately have to track this down!

1) Was this captured on a standalone DVD recorder?
2) Can you please turn on the debug option (Tools>Options>Advanced stream).
3) Re-run the edits. If you don't have a project file, check if the VideoReDo.VPRJ file is still around. It contains the the project info from your last edit.
4) Email the log file as an attachment to me at support@videoredo.com

texneus, There was/is a problem at cut points in Build 226 (but you already found that out, the hard way :) ) I've fixed the problem and after some additional testing will post Build 227 most likely on Tuesday. Build 226 has been deleted from the beta folder.
