Frequently, while using comskip on an HDTV over-the-air program, it gives me screenfuls of "panic: audio format not recognized" error messages. I quickstreamfix the file, get a fair amount of errors because of antenna dropouts or maybe hard drive not keeping up issues. Then I open it up the fixed video in VRDTVS and the audio line says "no audio stream" (yes, thumbnails under 2 seconds). I exit out and play the program in VLC and there's audio, no problem. Open it back up in VRD and now it DOES say there is an AC3 stream and a blue line. I wonder if VLC somehow does something VRD was looking for? Restores a flag or a header?
