RegSoft spammed me

RegSoft sent me an email selling a jewel case generator program. It was sent to the email address that I registered VideoReDo with. I use a different email address with everything that I do so I will know where spam came from.

Are you guys aware that they do that?

No we were not aware that they are doing that. I'll ask them what is going on although I seem to remember a checkbox that asks if you want notices from Regsoft or not.

I would be annoyed, too.

I ordered using PayPal, and can happily report not a single email from them.
Nor do the VideoReDo people send out email.
Well , they do respond if you write them :)

Please don't think that I'm pissed at the folks at VideoReDo. I just wanted to be sure that somebody here knows about it.

In looking about, I found that RegSoft publishes no privacy policy. I guess that in this case it really does mean that there isn't any.

I don't recall any kind of Opt In dialogue when I registered VideoReDo though them. I know I wouldn't have taken it if there was. They do offer an Opt Out option, but only after they have already spammed you. At least I couldn't find one publicly posted anywhere on their website. You can only get it via a link in the spam.

When an order is placed, there is an opt-in box that can be selected
which indicates a buyer would like to receive updates from RegSoft.com.
For customers who select this option, there are informational emails
sent from time to time.

If the customer no longer wishes to be on this list, please provide the
email address and I can remove them.
