View Full Version : VOBs merging in wrong order.

Anyone ever run into this problem. After converting nearly 300 movies, this is a first. I'm using the rip_single.vbs script. I have one series that is merging the vobs in the wrong order. The DVD plays fine. I can also click on any vob and it starts and plays in the correct order. But after merging and converting to .ms-dvr the finish video starts some where in the middle. This is the first season of "Sons of Anarchy". Disk one is the only disk I'm having trouble with.

Thanks,

Try the latest Beta V583 available here:

You might also try the File->Open title from DVD feature rather then just opening the VOBs directly.

phd,
v583 doesn't work with the rip_single.vbs script. After the merge is completed it fails to mpeg stream. Now I can't seem to get it uninstalled or something else is preventing the older version from working correctly.

Every attempt to restore the previous version now has the same error encountered as v583. Mpeg stream error: Open error for DVR-MS output.

Try saving the file with MPEG audio. Click on the Options button in the file save dialog box.

I'll try this when I get home. Is this a setting the rip_single.vbs script uses? I rarely use the gui interface.

Ok. I finally got v566 reinstalled and working. Dan203 is the winner here. I loaded the video folder using the file> DVD method and it worked perfectly.

So how does the script handle VOBs differently than loading them thru the gui. I just happen to run across this issue so I'm wondering how many more movies I have that might be effected.

Thanks for all the assistance.
Mike

You should check with the author of the rip_single.vbs script.
