Sorry v confused as I am not so tecnically minded.
Read a lot of posts on what to do and what not to do to prevent audio synch probs when burning mpeg2 files created by the DEC2000-t software to dvd.
Could someone explain in a step by step manner how I use videoReDo to create a file that I can burn to DVD and watch on any DVD player without the audio synch problems that I get if I import the normal MPEG2 and burn to DVD.
Thanks!
Maybe someone from UK / EU can help out since you can't get the DEC 2000 here in the USA. However, here's a quick guide:
1) Make sure VideoReDo is set to "Cut Mode". (Tools>Options>General Parameters).
2) Open your source video file.
3) Save it to another file. You'll get a warning about no cuts being define, but you can just ignore that. VideoReDo will re-write the file checking sync as it goes along.
4) Then, you should be able to author your DVD.
If you have any problems, please feel free to ask.

I regularly edit DEC2000 files (using VideoRedo) for subsequent authoring onto DVD using ULEAD Movie Factory 2.0.
As Dan suggests I use cut mode with (Output Streams for Movie Factory checked). Edit material as required and experiment with audio/video sync adjustment. I find it sometimes necessary to have -188 or so ms adjustment to maintain final lip sync of burnt DVD.
My editied content is then used directly in Movie Factory which is used solely to generate menus and package mpg files into DVD format. No re-encoding is necessary. VideoRedo Edit takes 4-6mins to output cut file of about 1hr content. Movie Factory takes about 25 mins to burn edited DVD (I have slow 2.4x burner!) works very well.
