View Full Version : Problem joining VOB files

Seems like I can only join 2 VOB files together. If I try to join 3 VOB's, it always fails. I can eventually do what I want, but it takes a while because of this limitation.

What happens when you try to join 3 VOBs together? This isn't a known limitation. Which build are running?

Sorry I did not get back sooner, forgot to look for a response.

I just tried joining three files

I get a visual C++ runtime error box.
It says Program: path\Videoredo.exe

Abnormal program termination

the version is 233

I have made a mpeg using these same files, joining them two at a time.

Randy, Please try the latest build #239 and see if the problem persists. There was a fix in build 234 regarding re-using memory after it had been de-allocated which might cause this behavior.

If the problem persists, then we will get on it right away.

Randy, Can you turn on Tools>Options>Advanced Stream>Debug.

Then here are some variants we can try:

1) Turn on GOP only editing, see if the problem persists.

2) Try switching the order of the joins. Curious if the problem is the 3rd video.

Thannks.

Tried no 2, same results.
Not sure how to do no 1?

Please email us the log file at support@videoredo.com

The GOP only editing is turned on by disabling the "Frame Accurate" option on the Tools>Options>General page.

Good news, we think we found the problem. Its related to your using LPCM audio. Will make it a high priority to get it fixed.

Randy, Can you give Beta Build #246 a try? Your problem was related to joining 3 or more files with LPCM audio. This new build addresses that.

Beta can be found at: ftp://videoredo:videoredo@ftp.drdsystems.com/Betas/
