The root folder is read-only so I'm not sure where to put it since I can't see the folders. Did you create a folder specific to this issue? Thanks.

The root isn't read-only. Did you follow the info at this link: http://www.videoredo.net/msgBoard/showthread.php?t=15807
User id and password are both: upload.

I had no problem with any FTP client accessing the site. I'll ask PHD to work with you when he returns to work.

Try using Windows Explorer instead of IE or FZ. Make the address bar visible (if not already) then paste the link from this thread (http://www.videoredo.net/msgBoard/showthread.php?t=15807) in and hit Enter. It should open just like any other folder on your drive and you can make a new folder then drag/drop or paste your file to it.

I just got back and had an epiphany and sure enough it was right on. I had the transfer mode set to default rather than passive. I set it to passive and voila. I'll upload in a little bit and send an email. Thanks guys.

Chumbo, Your file has no frame rate information in it. We may be able to back into the frame rate using other techniques, but will have to think about how best to do it.

Your response made me think of something which may or may not have anything to do with the frame rate info. The clip I sent was edited with TSDoctor. I've uploaded 3 more clips.
All clips are remuxed from MKV to TS with the latest tsmuxer. Clip 2 is the same source as clip 1 from earlier but not edited. I had the same open issue as clip 1. Clips 3 and 4 look like they may open. I couldn't confirm because of the problem I'm now having.
I was editing some stuff I recorded with the HD PVR and was cutting and then using the new Queue function in the Save As dialog when TVSuite crashed with the standard Windows app crash. Now it crashes every time I attempt to open any file. Any ideas on how I can get it working again short of uninstalling/reinstalling? Maybe a file I need to remove? Thank you.

Try going to Tools->Options->General and clicking the "Clear Recent Files / Folders" button.

@DanR,
I was able to open the streams once the framerate info was available. I'm not sure how the heck those first two streams did not have fr info, but once that was available, the file opened fine.
I'm not sure if this is going to be big thing to do or not, but for me, it's not that big of a deal now that I know why the file could not be opened. Others can chime in if any components they use, e.g., cameras, that may produce h264 files with no fr info, but I don't see that being normal thing.
By the way, if you know the fr info for a stream, is there a tool that will insert it into the raw .h264 stream and not the container? I ask because when I remuxed with tsmuxer and specifically assigned the fps, it still wasn't reported in MediaInfo.

The frame rate can be stored 3 different ways inside the H.264 video stream. In some camera file (.mp4) necessary information is missing so we try to pick up the frame rate from the .mp4 container. This was added in build 595.
You file was a .ts file, and while there is a way to pick up the frame rate from a .ts file its (a) not always reliable, and (b) re-inserting frame rate information back into the video stream is not yet something we can do yet.
Lets see if we see more of this and if so we may have to add .ts frame rate detection and frame rate insertion into the output stream.

Any chance of adding a manual FPS setting that we can enter when there's no framerate info in the source? I just ran into a couple more of these and can't edit them at the moment.
A pulldown list of predetermined settings would be nice along with allowing us to enter any value. Similar to the FPS list in mkvmerge GUI if you've used it.
Is there a tool that can insert the framerate info into the raw h264 stream?

A rather old thread, but I had a similar problem:
h264info (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/H264info) can manipulate several raw stream parameters.
Eac3to writes the framerate into the stream when demuxing if not present.

Thanks smizz. Will give it a try.
