On my computer when I click on a link, such as a folder name in Windows Explorer or anything that navigates, I get an audible click. I just installed 456 on top of 445. Now sometimes when I click on a button to navigate, I get "click, click, click..." either continuously or quite a few times before it quits. Closing VRD causes the clicking to go away. I'm sorry I don't know how better to describe the problem. Something is not playing along nicely. The OS is Windows XP Pro SP2 with all updates on an IBM 8311 computer.

Go to the Sounds and Audio devices control panel. Click on the Sounds tab. Scroll down to the Windows Explorer section and click on Start Navigation. From the dropdown list, select (None). Then click OK.

I could do that, but I like the clicks, and the problem did not start until 456. It acts like the precursor to a crash.

Are you using WAV or directsound in VideoReDo? You can switch drivers on the Tools>Options>Playback devices. Maybe that will make a difference.

Heck, I don't know. But I'll switch, just to see what happens. I'm using the same setting that the earlier version was using. I just thought you might like to know.
