View Full Version : Save PCM Audio as WAVE

Hello!

I capture my videos with an ADSTech box, and usually select PCM audio. When separating audio and video streams, the PCM file must be converted to WAV before using it in DVDLab, or simply editing it. I just feel like wasting time + space.

So my request would be: exporting (a "true") WAVE file when saving as elementary streams.

By the way, at the time of writing, VRD sets the extension to .wav, but it may be better to set it to .pcm in case of PCM (LPCM?) audio.

Hi Fredd, You're right of course. The LPCM output should be in wav format, and has been on our list for a long time. We had to make some other fixes recently for some wierd HDTV audio streams so we took this opportunity to get this done.

The next beta, hopefully out this weekend, will have true WAV files. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

New beta release just posted. LPCM should output as properly formatted WAV files. Thanks for the suggestion.
