Hi all,

I have installed my trial key but when I launch Videoredo, the 'registered to:' and 'trial key:' below the round 'Open Video' button are blank. ie it doesn't seem to recognise my trial key. But then if I try to re-enter my trial key it tells me 'A trial key has been installed'. :( I am trying to cut the ads out of a one hour programme but it won't let me because without the trial key you can only do half an hour. I only have 13 days left on my trial. Any ideas?

Try this:

Hello Chris,

Lets start from the beginning. Click on this link and download the newest version of VideoReDo, just posted: http://www.drdsystems.com/VideoReDo/download.htm

Once you've download and installed this release, click on the help menu, "Request Trial Key". Answer the questions and you'll get a new key via email. Enter that key into VideoReDo.

Now you are running with the latest version and you won't have the 30 min. limitation.

Hi Peter

Thanks but I think the trial is 21 days - I have 13 days left = I downloaded it 8 days ago. I think the latest version is Sep 21 = it is already the latest version. Anyway I just downloaded it again just in case but it is still telling me 13 days to go.

So how come I have a 30 minute limitation? :(

I'm not sure... you should have unlimited time on the trial - Dan will have to help you out!

Charles, you should have total functionality while using the trial key. Have you tried outputting more than 30 minutes. If continue to have problems, please contact me at support@videoredo.com. Also email me the videoredo.log file as an attachment. We will make sure you have a successful trial experience.

Hi Dan - yes, I have a TV show of one hour on my hard drive. I used VideoReDo to cut out the adverts, but when I pressed 'save as' and then waited for the result I got the message saying that there is a 30 minute maximum. And sure enough when I play the edited file, it is exactly 30 minutes long.

If continue to have problems, please contact me at support@videoredo.com. Also email me the videoredo.log file as an attachment. We will make sure you have a successful trial experience.

What do you mean by the 'videoredo.log file' - where do I find that? Anyway I'm off to bed now but I will try again tomorrow. Thanks for your help :P

The VideoReDo.log file is in the same folder as VideoReDo. Usually, c:\program files\VideoReDo..
