Chapter markers are scheduled to be released around the end of the year.

Will I be able to export the chapter marks as Frame #s? This way I can use frame-index in DVDlab and import the chapters as frames.

Chapter export will be in Timecode format which is OK for DVDLab.

Dan, I have problems with DVDlab PRO not putting the chapters in the right places. If I don't frame index I get 1 or 2 Iframes difference, if I frame index I get bigger lag at the end of my files (11 Iframes in a 40min mpg). Take a look at this (http://www.mmbforums.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=8604) thread and this (http://www.mmbforums.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=48099#48099) post for some tests I did with/without frame index.

So the only way to make sure DVDlab PRO creates chapter points exactly where you set them is with Frame index and chapters imported as frames. I hope Oscar fix this issue and I don't need to set the chapters lag manually.

I'll see what happens on my copy of DVDLab. The problem with frame #s is that we don't really know the frame # if the material contains 3:2 pulldown. All our calculations are kept in terms of timestamps.

Will it be possible for chapter marks to work with tmpgenc DVD creator?

Thanks! :)

I think so, but if I remember correctly TMPGEnc DVD Creator wants a ";" rather than a "." in the timecode.
