Hi there,

I'm new here and am trying to save a .vob file to dvr-ms. I get the following message in VideoReDo (Trial version):

Mpeg stream error: Open error for DVR-MS output

Anyone know what it means and/or know how I can fix it to save to my computer.

Thanks a lot,

Joe

Do you have a trial key installed?

Can you check the log file for further details about the error?

Are you attempting to save the file with a duplicate file name for a file that already exists?

Do you have the DVR-MS drivers loaded on your system?

Hi PHD,

Thanks for responding - in answer to your questions:

I have the trial key installed.

I've looked at the log and am not sure what I'm looking for but will post below.

I've tried saving with many names so the duplicate name is not an issue.

I must have the proper drivers as I was able to save several other .vob files to DVR-MS

log for error:

2006-10-28 17:51:33 Opening file: C:\DVD_VIDEO\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.VOB, filetype is: MPEG2 PIDs: x00 / x00

2006-10-28 17:51:34 Using display driver: DX-RGB
2006-10-28 17:57:36 DVR-MS output error: Unknown audio codec: 0 0
2006-10-28 17:58:52 DVR-MS output error: Unknown audio codec: 0 0

Thanks a lot,

Joe,

Thanks for posting the log file info. For some reason VideoReDo isn't specifying a known audio type to the DVR-MS output routine. In fact the "codec: 0 0" means there's no audio.

When you open the file in VideoReDo, what type of audio is detected? Use Tools>Show Program Info to see that. You can paste the information back here.
