After about 12 months of converting my vhs collection to dvd using virtual dub and ulead movie factory, I am now converting hdtv to dvd with several steps along the way.
I tried to author with Ulead Move factory but it is handling 4:3 only and there appears to be no option to change that although the program was bundled with my Sony burner.

At the moment it looks like I will have to spend more money on a program that will handle 16:9 authoring, as I don't always have full success with IFO edit.

What are others using?

Depending on the version that you have, you can either enable the advanced option and have the capability of 16:9 in DMF2 or with DMF 3 (full versions only) you can install the DL Support Pack.

" To convert video in 16:9 format, you need to install the DL Support Pack found on the updates and patches for DMF3. This is only available for Full versions.

After installing this, it will enable the Aspect Ratio selection in the General tab under Project Settings >> Customize"

I checked my DMF2 and the 16:9 option is available under the advanced options.
