I haven't used VideReDo in awhile but I am now trying it and I am having issues streaming to my 360 through Media Center. I have VIsta machine so I am using the built in Media Center. Basically I am converting VOBs to MPEG and then running MyMovies that just launches the files. This worked perfectly with XP MCE 2005 but with Vista I am getting Codec errors through the 360. It plays find on the actual computer.
Any ideas? Maybe this is a new problem with Vista streaming MPEG to the 360?

I am doing basically the same thing. I quit using My Movies because it was a bit clunky.
It does look like Vista has a problem with straight .mpg files out of the box. I might not have the right codecs installed. To get around the problem, I have been Redoing my files into .dvr-ms files. Vista and 360 seem to like these better anyway. The FF and Rew works much better with this format. I know these are proprietary MS junk, but Redo can put it back to .mpg in just a couple of minutes.
I just put these files into a folder and access them through My Video Collection on the 360 extender. If you really want to get fancy, you can put a picture like a wallpaper for the movie in the same folder. If it has the same name as the .dvr-ms file with a .jpg extension, it will show up on the extender with the picture.

Thanks for the reply. I may have to do that. Is it still possible to keep the same AC3 audio with going that way?
Someone on another message board said their is a issue with Vista doing MPEG to an extender, or a bug if you want to call it that. But not ETA on when it will be fixed.

Striaght .mpg on Media Center quit working correctly (choppy) when I installed Vista. The extender plays it just as poorly. What's really funny about this is it looks almost identical to what playing a dvr-ms file under My Movies looked like in XP MCE.
DVR-MS has to be full MPEG2 (including 5.1 DD sound) with some meta information inserted. There's no way video redo could change from one format to the other in just a couple of minutes otherwise.
I love this format for playing on extenders... FF, Rew, Pause all work perfectly.

So will it play the 5.1 or will it change it over to just stereo?
