G'day guys, and thankyou for this excellent program!

I have a PVR set top box which records programmes in .mts format. Once a file reaches 1Gb it breaks the file into volumes, eg: VIDEO.MTS, VIDEO.001, Video.002 etc...

Videoredo opens all of these flawlessly and allows me to join them together to make a complete programme. However, from time to time (seemingly randomly) a file will open with no audio playback. I know the file has audio content because it plays on the set top box and also in media player, but even after encoding to .MPG format the file still has no audio in videoredo.

Any help on this would be very much appreciated!

Try using the Combine feature rather than join.

Thanks for the response, but I don't think I explained myself properly - I open the program, open a file - and the file has no audio. This is before I try to edit it in any way.

Rather than adding each of the files VIDEO.MTS, VIDEO.001, Video.002 etc... individually, use VideoReDo to combine them.

Also make sure you select a valid stream. Tools>Select Stream

OMG thankyou! I wasn't so much concerned about joining/combining, it was the silent video that had me stumped but your "valid stream" comment pointed me to the problem - I hadn't considered that the wrong stream might have been used.

Thankyou to all who responded, this is a great program!
