I must have something set wrong: when I add a scene 44 minutes into a clip to the cutlist then add one 7 minutes in, the second one moves in front of the first.
I want the scenes written to the saved file in the order I assembled them, not the order they appeared in the source clip.
How do I get VideoReDo to do that?
Thanks...
Here is a procedure to rearrange segments of your video:
You may find this process easier in Scene Mode where you only select the segment you wish to output. Tools>Options>General Parameters and select "Scene Mode" for Editing Mode.
Mark the first segment you would like to add to the rearranged timeline. This segment will be green with the rest of the timeline red. Add to the Joiner. Joiner>Add Current Project to Joiner List
Clear the cutlist and select the next segment of the file you wish to add to the file. This new segment will be green with the rest of the timeline red. Add to the Joiner. Joiner>Add Current Project to Joiner List
Continue to add segments of the timeline. Clear the cut list each time and indicating the next sequential segment.
Output your file from the Joiner. Joiner>Create Video From Joiner List.

I don't use the Joiner a lot--isn't it also the case that in the Edit window you can move clips Up and Down to reorder them?
No, You cannot rearrange clips in the cut list.

No, You cannot rearrange clips in the cut list.
That leads me to ask: why not?
While your joiner idea works (thanks), it would seem more intuitive to have the clips left in the order I clipped them (not using the joiner of course), rather than have them sorted from the beginning of the source file to the end. I can't see them being sorted into the right order without SOME extra effort, and a switch to not do that would be enough for me to get by on.
If you were to add buttons to make the joiner be the default way to edit, that'd also be sorta OK.
I can do what I want, but I'd like it to be just a touch more stylish...

No, You cannot rearrange clips in the cut list.Yeah am I misunderstanding something--what else would the Up and Down buttons in the Edit Joiner List window be for, than to re-order the clips for output?
In the Joiner you can rearrange clips.
You cannot rearrange clips in the cut list on the main window.
