Editing Second Title on DVD

I am a newbie, the programs great, but I can only edit the first title on a home recorded dvd not the second. I expect this has been delt with many times before and is on the forum but I am confused, so much to learn, please help.

How are you extracting the files from your DVD?

What recorder are your using?

Did you use a different setting to record the second program?
