MPEG audio Layer 1 not supported

Hello,

I have recorded a film with MCE with "better" quality (not optimum) and when I try to open with VideoReDo, I got the message : MPEG audio Layer 1 not supported.

What can I do with this dvr-ms file ? Use another converter before treatment by VideoRedo ?

I don't use MCE, but until the experts get back, you might look at this short thread.

As I navigate thru the forum, I saw this thread. In fact, MCE have several quality options. For now, I just used Optimum many times (and no problem with VDRD) and one time Better (layer 1 problem). I will try other quality options and see what happens...

I finally use DVRMSToolbox to convert the file and edit the .mpg result with VRD and it works fine.
