View Full Version : Video length issue
Does anyone know how much video you can load into VideoRedo at one time?
I was using the free trial to test out the program and it cut of the last half of my video.
Is that normal?

I don't think they have made any changes , so this should still be the answer:

but it still does not take in the whole video. I don't know what to do, and I am still waiting for a reply from the support.

I've loaded in a 14gb video (about 14 hours of TV recording) with no problems whatsoever.
I suspect you're running the trial version, which will only process half of your video if you have just downloaded it.
To process the full video whilst on trial, as per Anole's response, you need to register for a free trial key - this keeps VRD as a trial (i.e. with a time limitation - which still gives you quite a long time to try it), but removes the restriction of only processing half of your video.
To register for the free trial key (which you will receive almost immediatly), use:
Help>Request Trial Key
(if you already DO have a key and it still isn't working properly, try running quickstreamfix to see if you've got some corruption in the middle of your video)
Once you've tried VRD though, cough up the $50 to get the software - it's worth every cent (and I'm nothing to do with VRD or DRD, this is just based on experience and my opinion - in fact, I recognised the benefits of VRD without even getting the trial key and just handed over the cash)
Happy Videoredo'ing

Well, how big was the file you loaded .. in gigabytes?
What operating system are you running on your computer?
If you are running Windows with NTFS disc support instead of FAT support (!), and have properly installed the trial key, and it hasn't expired (!) you really shouldn't have any problem.
I didn't think of using the QuickStreamFix , but that's also quite correct.
Where did you get this video you are having trouble with?
Often the video I receive over the air has minor transmission issues, and the first step is to run QSF, as suggested.!
And last but not least, have you tried other video/mpeg files with VideoReDo?
People often try working with a broken file over and over, and miss the fact that if they'd just tested with a different file, all their problems could go away.
