I justed downloaded the trial version of VideoRedo and so far am loving it. I did have one question however. After editing a TiVo file and saving as mpg, I am unable to watch the video on my PC (audio is there but no video). Is there a special codec I need to download in order to view the video or is there something else I am missing?
What player are you using?
Does the edited file play OK in VideoReDo?
Sometimes, the easiest solution is to use an alternative player like Zoom Player, Media Player Classic, MPlayer or Video Lan Client.

File didn't work in Winamp (my usual player) or Windows Media Player. It does work fine in VideoRedo.
Any reason why it wouldn't work in Winamp? Don't really want to download another media player unless I have too.

Your WinAmp probably doesn't have a codec to handle the format of the TiVo video.
Please see the link above to the codec pack, or try other players.
To reference the format you currently have, load that video into VideoReDo, and press Ctrl-L
You can paste that info into your next post.
Let me guess - it's probably 480x480?
...or maybe it's the audio format... I'm not a TiVo-a-holic, but the company has Tivo experts.
They could give you a better answer as to the why, but the solution is likely in a new codec. ;)
