Cropping
After you have loaded and edited your video, click on the Create DVD button.
The Create DVD dialog appears. Click on the Change output options button.
Click on the Video Cropping and Sizing tab.
16:9 to 4:3 Letterbox
After you have loaded and edited your video, click on the Create DVD button.
The Create DVD dialog appears. Click on the Change output options button.
Click on the Video Options tab.
Select 4:3 aspect ratio and Force 16:9 to letterbox
16:9 to cropped 4:3
After you have loaded and edited your video, click on the Create DVD button.
The Create DVD dialog appears. Click on the Change output options button.
Click on the Video Options tab.
Select 4:3 aspect ratio
Click on the Video Cropping and Sizing tab.
Click on the Presets and select "Pillar Box to Standard"
16:9 to Pan and Scan 4:3
Note: this option does not reencode your video
After you have loaded and edited your video, click on the Create DVD button.
The Create DVD dialog appears. Click on the Change output options button.
Click on the Video Options tab.
Leave the Aspect Ratio at "No Change"
Change the DVD Display Mode to "Pan & Scan"
The DVD player will crop the sides during playback and will save you having to reencode the video.
4:3 letterbox to 16:9 widescreen
After you have loaded and edited your video, click on the Create DVD button.
The Create DVD dialog appears. Click on the Change output options button.
Click on the Video Cropping and Sizing tab
Click on the Presets and select "Letterbox to Widescreen"
Your aspect ratio is also automatically adjusted in the Video Options tab to 16:9
4:3 to 16:9 pillarbox

Select 16:9 aspect ratio and Force 4:3 to pillarbox
