I'm testing a new source for my video - another type of satellite receiver.
It saves in .TS format (?) , the specs of which are to be determined.
I was writing a couple of files onto its hard drive to see if it could play them when I ran into a problem with TVS.
I took a 112mb mpeg that I had on my computer.
It's a short segment of How It's Made.
I had TVS 546 write it to the hard drive in .TS format.
No editing, no changes, just GOP=32 (which was my default).
As it wrote, the message Shortening GOP - Decoding / Encoding should have shown on the computer screen.
What I got was:
hortening GOP - Decoc
Not that I thought it'd matter, but I then wrote as .mpeg, too.
Same result.
Wonder if you can confirm this cosmetic error?
Oh, ...hrmmm... well, in 547, the message seems to be shortened to:
Shortening GOP
Though, I think I did notice that the first message posted by TVS had its first character trimmed.
So, it might be worth a look.
