I cant remember, possibly about 3 months ago. I was sure I left the email in my hotmail account because I knew i planned to get a new computer, but now it isnt there.

My 2-cents....

I had the same problem when my computer died a couple of years ago. Ever since then I do two things.

First, I have a CD that I keep current with the latest installs and an electronic copy of the registration codes for all of the key software I use. It's so much easier to just put it in and re-install than to re-download and try to find the original e-mail from years ago.

Second, I have an encrypted password program (passwordsafe from http://passwordsafe.sourceforge.net/) that I keep all my important information in. This tiny no-install program fits on a floppy, but I keep mine on a thumb-drive, and holds my usernames, passwords, and websites for everything.
