warning message

using 549 version, during create dvd, warning triangle and message "DVD audio packetising ends". This followed very eratic time remaining indication with the time stopping and running up and down over the same range for several minutes. About a minute after the message appeared, the remaining time dopped to zero and a successful mux was announced. What does this all mean? A quick look suggests that the resulting burn is ok.

FWIW I have the same behavior almost every time on my test PC using 549. The results are always good. I don't recall if it did this with earlier versions because I seldom use the PC. I just assumed it was a quirk related to the speed of the machine (2.4 P4, no HT). Now that 549 is a production version I'll see if that happens on my main PC.

Yes - exactly the same thing happens to me. I've never seen any warning signs with previous incarnations of TVS.

We did change some things in 549 related to the progress indicator but didn't have this problem our testing. We will try and replicate it. Does it happen on every DVD you create?

Log file sent to you 17th December, did you receive it? To confirm, warning and triangle shown for about a minute and then replaced by successfull MUX message. I have not had warning messages on any previous versions. The uneven progress of the time to completion has occured before but not this badly. The time dropped from the start of DVD creation at about double rate slowing to real time at 9 minutes or so. At about 7minutes 40 time remaining went up and then down but with an upward trend until the warning appeared with the time remaining at about 9 minutes 40. I have now reviewed the resulting disc and although there are a few minor vision glitches, the sound plays without fault to the end of the recording. The program was set accept non compliant recordings. One other DVD created with this version so far and that gave no problems, (I did not set accept non compliant recordings on that one.)

We've found the source of the problem and are working on a fix. Good news is that doesn't affect the output in any way. Your log was most helpful.

I've installed build 551. I'm getting the yellow triangle again, this time during muxing. Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure we know why and have a fix ready to try. This fix should also improve the estimated time remaining during the DVD build portion.
