The regular VRD product likes dual drives. Reading from one and writing to a second cuts processing time in half. This makes basic sense.
Authoring with TVS dual drives makes a larger difference. I had noticed that some of my projects were taking 45+ minutes to process (authoring to folder only, no compression) when all locations were the same drive. I found that changing the location of either the temp folder (under DVD settings), and/or the final folder to a second drive cut these times to less than 15 min.
With this in mind a better option under DVD settings would be to add one to look for a second drive with sufficient space for the project to place the temp folder.
