I was wondering where the video 352x480 resolution come in, most of my DVD's ripped are 720x480 and off my sat receiver I have 552x480 . I realize that I can choose to accept odd format resolution which I do and get the 552 for my sat movies, but was wondering what the resolution comes in.

I also have burned some DVD;s and once in a while the DVD just jumps several chapters backwards with out my hitting any buttons.

I am using the trial version for a few days to make sure this program is doing what I want... overall I am very pleased with the speed and quality of editing and creating DVD files.

I'm sure I will have other questions but keep up the great work ... and thanks for the oppertunity to give it a try.

352x480 is a valid DVD resolution known as HalfD1. You are most likely to see it on some SD digital cable channels or on DVDs made on stand-alone DVD recorders. It works quite well for recording VHS tapes to minimize artifacts from the low resolution on the tape.

A DVD jumping like that usually indicates a problem with the burn (too fast, poor brand of disk) or the DVD player (old, worn out optics, poor compatibility with the DVD disk type used).
