when I try to edit a show in HDTV from ETV there is no audio
Video Redu says:

Frame Rate: 29.97 FPS
Bit Rate: 2.970 Mbps
VBV_Buffer: 224 KB
Profile: Main/Main
Progressive: Prog or Int
Chroma: 4:2:0
Audio Format: 2.0
Audio Stream Id: Raw PS1
Audio Bit Rate: 192 Kbps
Audio Sampling Rate: 48000 Hz
Video Inspector say:
Audio
number of channels: 2
sample rate: 320000 Hz

What is the problem?

We do not support MP3 audio. Only PCM, MP2 and AC3
Dan
The problem isn't MP3 audio, its that TVSuite isn't picking up the correct audio stream. What version of TVSuite are you using (Help>About).

You didn't specify, where did you get the source material? An HD TiVo, MCE PC, something else?

I got the recording from OTA HDTV via windows vista MCE
I am using version 551 for Redo Suite
Is the problem that you don't hear the audio in TVSuite or that the saved file doesn't have audio when you play it?
When you save the edited file, how many audio frames are in the output complete dialog? This information is also kept in the videoredo.log file (Help>Display Log) so you can retreive from there.
Finally, is it just on this one file or all files?

I do not hear the audio in the saved file but I believe it is there. It is this one file I have problems with.
from log file:
2008-01-25 10:32:52 Output complete. Input file: F:\DVD MOVIES\DVRMSToolbox\Add New Movies Here\Masterpiece_WNTV-DT_20_01_2008_01_59_05.dvr-ms
Output file: F:\DVD MOVIES\DVRMSToolbox\WORKING ON THESE FILES\dt - working on audio problem.mpg
Mode: GOP Accurate
-Video output packets: 4668
-Audio output packets: 778
-Padding output packets: 0
Video output frames: 978
Audio output frames: 1020
Processing time (secs): 1
Processed frames/sec: 607.08
Actual Video Bitrate: 2.30 Mbps
* Video resync frames removed: 10
This is a short clip of the file. It says there are audio frames present.
Re-open the edited file in VideoReDo, do you have audio? If so, but you don't hear it in other applications, such as Windows Media Player may a directshow codec issue.
