I have been disperately looking for a decent mpeg2 editor to cut out commercials from PVR-250 recorded shows. VideoReDo is exactly what I am looking for in terms of UI and rendered quality and speed.

However, each of the several files I have edited and saved have a problem near the last 30 seconds to 60 seconds of the file. The movie continuous to play the sound, but a single video frame is shown for about 5-10 seconds and then it corrects itself and finishing playing fine.

I am playing the movies with windows media player.
I am using windowsXP.

Any ideas?
Great software, hopefully I can resolve this problem so I can use this program.
Thanks,

scott

1) If you are using Build 200, please go to our FTP site and download Build 213. Beta address is: ftp://videoredo:videoredo@ftp.drdsystems.com/Betas/ most PVRx50 users don't need the enhancements in this version, but you never know.

2) When you get any kind of stream or playback problem, my first suggestion is to go to Tools>option>Advanced Stream and turn on the debugging checkbox. Then do the edits and email the log file (as an attachment please). From the log file, I can then direct the best course to find and fix the problem.

Checking the "Align Each Frame to a Packet Boundary" seems to have solved the problem.

Is there a reason for this? What are the effects of using it?

Thanks,

Scott

When you check this option, each frame will start on a new PES packet. Most MPEG2 decoders don't require this setting, but some older ones do prefer it. The only effect is a slight increase in file size ( < 1% ) compared to not using it.
