Hi, with v556 - "[Change] DVD Authoring: If source stream is labelled "progressive", authoring will change it interlaced."
What does that really mean ? If I have a progressive source, I would have thought I'd need it left that way and flagged as such.
Progressive frames are OK, its the sequence header which must be not be flagged as progressive. If you click on Tools>Show Program Info, this is what you'll see if its progressive only:
Progressive: Progressive Only
The correct, and now updated value, is:
Progressive: Prog or Int
The only files that typicaly "Progressive Only" are 720p files which need to be recoded anyway to fit on a DVD. This case the user had created his own video which was almost DVD compliant, except for the flag setting.

Thanks. Well... I roll my own PAL 576p streams from a DV camera via avisynth and HC, which I'd like to edit/cut'n'mix with VRD without recoding as they already fit onto a DVD.
May I read into your elucidation that PAL 576p streams won't be re-coded by VRD and that only the stream header will be affected ? :)

But you can easily check by opening the file in VideoReDo and clicking on Tools>Show Program Info.

Great ! Thanks for a great product and for your ongoing development.
Very much looking forward to upcoming features (as you've mentioned over time in other threads).
