No Sound

I edited an mpeg stream & it played back OK (using 215)

Gave a copy to a friend who reported no sound when played back with Power DVD.

Sure enough there was no sound.

I had not noticed because I don't usually use Power DVD.

I was sure that Power DVD used to work with VideoRedo.

So I went back in time and reloaded the old betas

209 OK sound plays in Power DVD

Versions 212 onwards there is no sound.

All clips produced by versions 209 - 215 play back OK in other players.

Any ideas???

Any ideas???No ideas yet, there are lots of people using 209-215 since those are the versions that support the DVB streams in Europe.

The quickest and easiest thing to do is to upload the first 10MB of your clip to our FTP site: ftp://videoredo:videoredo@ftp.drdsystems.com/ please put in the uploads folder and send me an email at support@videoredo.com. I'll get on it right away.

What version of PowerDVD did you use 4 or 5? I've seen very different behavior the 2 versions. Is your sound LPCM (click on Tools>Show Program Info )? If so, then you are probably usig PowerDVD5, that has a problem with VideoReDo LPCM files. PowerDVD 4 doesn't. The problem is very subtle, but I hope to have it solved shortly.

What version of PowerDVD did you use 4 or 5?

Version 5 with the latest patch.

In 209 Audio stream says MPEG 2.0 256 Kbps

In 215 Audio stream says Dolby Digital 2.0 0Kpbs
