DVR-MS Tagging "Damned if you do..."

Greetings,

First of all, I'm a new user of Video Redu and I really appreciate your product.

My current setup is to use VR to turn VOB into DVR-MS, and then watch it on my Xbox 360 thru WMC.

I've noticed if I turn tagging off that I get the thumbnail but no Video/Sound, and with tagging on I get no thumbnail but Video/Sound.

Any idea if we'll be getting the best of both worlds with DVR-MS files? :D

This is interesting since on my systems, if I turn off "tagging" I get both thumbnails and audio / video. The only thing I don't get with tagging off are NTSC closed captioning on my XBox 360 extender.

So, the question is what is different between our files and/or systems.

1) What OS and service pack are you running?
2) Open one of the file that displays the no video/sound, click on Tools>Show Program Info, and then using the copy button grab the information and paste it here.

I'm using Vista 32 w/SP1

I noticed the audio switched from AC3 to MP2 in the tagged file, but not in the untagged file. Did you adjust the volume or specify MP2 audio encoding?
