I have recently purchaced a Dilog DT-555. It can store files on a HDD. It is possible to move the files to a PC connected with a USB cable. The file format is .hav. Is there some one who has tested to edit these files with VideoRedo? Is it possible to do? I get the inpression that the format is the format aired. It might be encoded meaning that it has to be decoded before it is archived. (you might not be able to decode it at a later time).
Have you tried editing them with VideoReDo?
One ad mentions it uses MPEG2 compression.

I tried to open a .hav file. VideoRedo says "Video program stream not found" next popup "Unable to open file".
Any idea?

have I found out that there is some stream inside of the package.
Some guy in Sweden (Dilog is Swedish) has made som small SW to convert the .hav file to some thing useful. Here is the link to download the sw http://web.telia.com/~u13125598/utils/ the tool HavToRec was the sw he referred to but there is some HavToTs that is a litle bit older and have some bugs.
I hope I am helping you guys out a bit. Where can I upload some example of .hav files?
Record a 30-60 second sample and upload it to our FTP
ftp://upload:upload@videoredo.net/
Create a folder with a unique name and place the file in it.
Send an email to Support@VideoReDo.com and let us know when it has been successfully uploaded.
Also include a reference to this topic number: 7080
