Just thought I would feed back a little.
I had 3 compilation DVDs I needed to make anyway, so thought I would try out the 566 beta on my Athlon Phenom 9500 quad core machine.
I did one DVD with it off, and the others with it on.
I saw about a 40% reduction in creation time with the multithrteaded option ON. It was DRAMATICALLY different. You can also see the much higher CPU usage across all four cores as it was re-rendering; just another indication it is really doing something.
So THANK YOU. That made the experience MUCH better. And for the DVDs I create with a bunch of kids programs (commercials chopped out) that takes fairly significant re-rendering, it reduced my time required by HOURS per DVD.
