I gave the prog a second try to join mpeg2 files from my AV100 since there is a sound-sync problem with tmpgenc.
1. I alway get kicked out of the program when trying to join clips with the message "Please turn off System Debugger and run again"
2. If I want to join like 20 clips, each time I have to open one and press "Put to joining list". Can you imagine how frustatingly long this process takes ? Or am I missing something ?
The only thing I want is one dialogue where I select all files, and with one push of a button, join them.
Please help...

1. Using version 1.5.0 216
2. I always get kicked out when opening the second clip
3. Does the option "Output Streams to Movie Factory" have any influence when using the joiner function ?

Thomas,
Is this two problems or one? Regarding the "Please turn off System Debugger and run again" when do you get this when adding a second file to the joiner or just in general.
If I want to join like 20 clips, each time I have to open one and press "Put to joining list". Can you imagine how frustatingly long this process takes ? Or am I missing something ? You aren't missing anything, I'm afraid this is how it works. Each stream has to be opened to analyze it for compatability before adding to the joiner. Is this something you have to do more than once? If so, contact me at support@videoredo.com.
Thomas, Are you by any chance running Divx 5.1 on your system? We saw a similar problem to this back in January during our beta and upgrading to Divx 5.1.1 resolved it.

Thanks for the swift reply.
I found the solution for the first problem myself by looking at the Log-file.
I switched off the YUY-card accelerator option, restarted my computer and the program and voilą, no more error messages. BTW: I don't have DivX at all. I have a brand new XP Desktop Multimedia running at 3.0 Ghz HT and I thought my computer would support this option. Apparently not. Never mind.
Regarding my wish for a smoother joiner-process:
I am using the Panasonic AV100 for regular filming. After a days filming, the SD-card is full with +- 10 min. of mpeg2 movies split into +- 25 different clips.
After renaming the extension from *.mod to *.mpg, I have to join these 25 clips in order to have one clip/theme per day. When I have like 6 of these 10-min. clips, I use Moviemaker 2.0 to burn them on DVD.
What I don't understand: When joining the clips with Videoredo or other progs, they all say: Specs of different mpeg clips must be the same (which is of course the case with my AV100).
So it must be technically possible to select all +- 25 clips AT ONCE and start the joining process ? Please Please Please ...
I am using Ulead Moviefactory 2.0. Does the option "Output to Moviefactory" in Videoredo have an influence when only using the joiner function of Videoredo ? Since you use Moviefactory 2.0 as well, what are your experiences ?
There is a de-interlace option in Videoredo and also in Moviefactory. In which of the two prog shall I activate it ? Maybe a stupid question: In your manual you state that switching the De-Interlace on, will slightly reduce image quality. Switching the option on in both Videoredo and Moviefactory, will the quality decrease twice ?
Thanks in advance

I have a brand new XP Desktop Multimedia running at 3.0 Ghz HT and I thought my computer would support this optionI certainly should have supported the option, although with a 3.0GHz machine it doesn't matter. The only time YUV matters is when you have a slower machine < 1GHz. What kind of graphics card do you have in your machine?
There is a de-interlace option in Videoredo and also in Moviefactory. The de-interlace option in VideoReDo only affects what you see on the screen while editing, it has NO effect on the output file. I don't know what Movie Factory's option does.

Thomas, I have good news for you. Build 220 to be posted probably on Monday will have the ability to open multiple files and add them automatically to the joiner.
This feature will be enabled via Drag/Drop. Open an Windows Explorer window, Select multiple files, and drag them an open VideoReDo window or to the VideoReDo desktop icon. If you drag more than one file the whole list will be added to the joiner.
Hope this helps.
