After converting *.wtv files to *.dvr-ms format, I can open them with all software except VideoRedo, which hard crashes without an error. I currently have to use Ffmpeg or TMPGEnc XPress to convert the output *.dvr-ms file to *.mpg format in order to open it with VideoRedo.

Can you look at the sample *.dvr-ms file I posted to see if there's an easy fix to allow VideoRedo to open these converted *.wtv files, at least until you can read them natively.

Can you upload your sample to our FTP so we can log your issue?
ftp://upload:upload@videoredo.net/

Create a folder with a unique name and place the file in it.

Send an email to Support @ VideoReDo.com and let us know when it has been successfully uploaded.

I'm having the same issue using the latest beta version of TVS.

Are you attempting to use the same conversion application?

Yes. I'm using todvrms.exe.

We are developing direct support for .WTV format files for a future release.

You might consider waiting for future support or review other options for conversion.

Download a trial of Cyberlink PowerDirector. The latest converts the .wtv immediately, even before you manipulate the video. I've used the resulting mpeg2 in TVsuite without issue. The trial puts a watermark in the video ONLY if you go on to edit it, but the conversion will be untouched.

Of course, eagerly awaiting a VDR solution...the other product is enourmous and clumsy, IMO.
