I can't find DVDMF.ini on my system for either MF3.5 or MF4 (both installed at the moment) so I can make these edits:
[VIODRIVER]
CloseAudioDTR=1
AlwaysAudioSeek=1
AlwaysVideoSeek=1
Is this now in the Windows XP registry?
(Sorry to post here, but I registered the ULead forums last Monday, and I still haven't received my e-mail confirmation.)
Here's the procedure for how to locate it:

I assume you'll be looking for the 3.5 or 4.0 folder rather than the 2.01 folder.
Also regarding your email address on the Ulead forum. If its one of those hotmail type addresses, it might have been rejected as SPAM. That was mentioned on the old forum during the transition to the new forum.

Thanks. I'll give that a try tonight. Just one last thing to see if I can get the audio/video sync issue resolved before I toss in the towel with MF4. My basic problem has to do with video from an HD source @ 1280x720 or 1920x1080, so MF4 must re-encode it at 720x540. Now, if VideoReDo could optionally do the resize for me... :D

I signed up both under my yahoo account, and my personal ISP account. No reply for either. When I try to log in, it just says my account is inactive, i.e., no mention of rejected account. Do you know any of the Admins over there? I can't even contact anyone regarding this.
There is no official administrator over there. At least not that anyone admits to.
You might want to try this:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/amateurvideoediting/
Contact an individual name H.T. Chien. He is answering questions on the new Ulead web board a la Jerry Jones on the original web board. He doesn't admit to it on the new Ulead forum but on the Yahoo Groups a link lists him as a Senior Software Engineer at Ulead.

Go to the members section and click on moderators. You'll find him listed there. Perhaps he can help.
Regarding DMF4. When they make a trial available or there is a really good price, I will be upgrading. Perhaps I'll be able to help more.

For the record, these VIODRIVER changes didn't help in MF4. The key issue seems to be the resizing and re-encoding of MPEG2 content in MF4: this is what's causing the audio sync problem in my situation. Definitely something ULead should fix. See my VRD+Xtream thread for what worked.
