I've used VideRedoPlus for two years to convert .ts files recorded to USB by a satellite receiver to .mpg. No problems - great product.

However, I've recently upgraded my kit (tech details at the end) and have hit a problem. The .ts file plays OK on the receiver, or on the computer (or within VideRedoPlus). However the converted .mpg is a disaster - any sort of fast movement and the picture breaks up. I've tried Quickstream fix, but to no avail.

Obviously this isn't a VideoRedoPlus fault - the .ts file is imperfect. However, given that the .ts file will play fine unconverted, I can't see why it should be impossible to convert.

Has anyone any ideas on this? Thanks in advance

(Details: I use a Technomate 5400 super with a Viaccess viewing card to get the French channels from Hotbird. )

What application are you using to play back the .MPG vs. the .TS file?

For .mpgs (or .avi, .wmv etc etc) I use GOM player or AlShow. GOM will play .ts files, as will VLC player. However, given that I am converting I usually see the .ts from inside VideoRedoPlus, where it looks fine.

Try performing an Apples and Apples comparison by playing back both the TS and MPG files in VLC and VRD.
