View Full Version : What's the best way of determining audio sync?

Is there a standard method of trying to align audio and video?

I usually download stuff from my tivo and find that the audio and video can be anything upto 300ms adrift at times.

I then look for things like doors slamming, or, if that fails, trying to match the lip sync.

But it is hard and very error-prone.

Is there a better way... or even an automatic way... of doing this?

Thanks!

I find it lots bettter to find any spoken words that begin with B, M and P also can use F and V. But for me B, M and P works the best.

Other than the above i'm interested to hear from others also, but never useualy suffer lip sync. But we all monitor for it

I am also looking for help in tuning the audio delay to achieve sync. I think it would be much easier to detect audo/video sync if I could playback at a reduced speed. Is there a way to do this in VRD?
