I have an old Philips DSR704 that only has composite output. I want to get these recordings to my PC to be placed on my TivoHD via the Home Media Options. Would VideoReDo help me do that? If so, how... Thanks in advance!!

The DSR704 is a Directv unit. You will need to use an analog capture device and record the shows in mpeg format to a PC. These files could then be transferred to the TiVoHD. They could be edited by VRD before transfer to the TiVoHD.

thanks wscannell! i'm not familiar with this but for an analog capture device would you be referring to something like this?
If i have VideoReDo on the computer, I would assume this is the only piece of equipment or software that i would need to accomplish this?? That'd be great if so. Thanks again!

Yes something like that will work. However, VideoReDo does not work with capture hardware. Usually the hardware is provided with software to do the capture from the hardware device. Once captured VideoReDo can edit as long as you capture in mpeg2 format.
