Thread: VRD+ 3.629d - Batch File Manager issue

But for the original bug you reported you're not using kmttg right?

Let me make sure I understand exactly what you're doing. You open a DVD in VideoReDo (auto QSF unchecked) which opens a VLST file. You then queue that output to batch? You repeat for multiple DVDs or episodes on same DVD, then you run the batch from inside VideoReDo? When the batch is running you see the output progress window and the output complete window indicating that it is not running in silent mode like it should?

I am not running VRD from within kmttg for the issue that I am reporting on. I have used kmttg to download a bunch of Tivo shows and used VRD to decode and don't think I have noted the same issue.

I open the DVD folder from within VRD and select the program stream I am interested in. It goes to the next menu where I could queue the VLST to the batch manager, but I do not. I cancel out. The VLST file is already created. I go and edit the name to what I want the final output mpg file to be called. I do this for however many streams I am interested in doing. I then close VRD and launch batch manager from its own executable. I drive to the VLST folder location, switch the open file menu to allow me to see all files and pick all of the VLST files.

I am not entirely positive about the auto QSF. I don't remember checking or not.

I do see the output progress window and output complete dialog.

Go to Tools->Start Batch Manager. Just above the output window there is a check box that says "Run Silently" is it checked? If not check it and try again. That should get rid of the output dialogs.

However that may not explain why VRD is locking up. They might still be there when it's done just not displayed. If this is the case then I need you to run a test for me. First of clear your log file. (Help->Display VideoReDo.log->Clear) Next open one of the DVDs that caused it to lock up but instead of processing it with the batch manager I want you to save it directly to a file within the UI. If you experience the same lockup then I want you to send me your log at support @ videoredo.com so I can see what's going on.

Well, I feel stupid now. Didn't notice the run silently checkbox. Ran a disc with 7 episodes. First with run silently unchecked. 3 instances of VRD stayed open with dialog that I had to force quit. Ran with it checked, ran perfectly. Thanks so much!

Well I'm glad we found a solution. I'm still not sure why it's hanging with Run Silent unchecked, but since we're no longer supporting the old batch manager and the new batch manager always runs in silent mode I'm not going to worry about it.
