    Default MKV media files

    Hi,

Is there any support in videoredoplus for the MKV media files, is not are you planning on implementing support for this media type in the future?

    Thanks

Currently, we have no plans to support MKV files.

    Default Matroska files

For those of you who may be interested, MKV files are a new container for video/audio, much like AVI.
    It's considerably more advanced.

It would be my guess that similar to DVD-authoring programs, you'll need Matroska converters.

I would even be willing to pay a small upgrade for for mkv support in my v4 version

Get the MediaInfo program and load your .mkv file into it.
Set MediaInfo for text mode, and paste the info about your file here.

Try the latest beta, build 614c. We're still working out a few of the bugs in the MKV support but the latest beta will have the best chance of opening the file.

Nope, application hangs when trying to open the file. Tried a few different ones, same on all of them.

I take it back, it took awhile but it finally opened the file, although I haven't tried to do anything with it yet.
