h264 for me too. If it helps I can upload a 50mb sample (copyright free) of a UK satellite programme if it helps with the beta stage, as I know satellite broadcasts differ around the world. I know the one we have in the UK varies depending on the channel, all are h264 but some use different encoding methods. Currently I use another h264 editor but it is very buggy and is now out of future support, so I would love a editor from you guys.

No thanks right now. We've got plenty of samples to work with for the time being.

The H.264 is coming along very nicely, but don't expect to see it in a public beta. Our plans are to test it in a closed beta.

    This is awesome news...
Does the Beta plan to include support for the Hauppauge HD-PVR recordings?

I certainly hope so. Just set one up here in the lab so we can create our own test files. Doesn't work yet, but I think the ArcMedia capture program doesn't like the integrated video chip on this motherboard.

I think we will have to switch to a different capture program and/or replace the motherboard. Its a pretty slow machine P4/2.4 GHz, so I'm not sure its ready for HD editing. However, I like having a slower machine around for testing.

Here's a list of some of what's being worked on now, in no particular order.

    1) Refresh of Plus.
    2) MPEG4/H.264 output.
    3) Improved subtitle support.
    4) MPEG4/H.264 editing
    5) Lots of other stuff.
Unfortenately No H.264 and NO DVB-SUBTITLES to DVD possibility in the latest beta, I must still use projectX etc to make my DVD with subtitles.

DVD to subtitles is getting closer. We just got some new code from the developer of that effort and will try to get it integrated into an upcoming beta.
