Direct download from PVR
It would be nice if VRD could download files directly from the PVR (in my case a Topfield) rather than have to use Altair download the .rec, and then use VRD to process them.

Thanks for the suggestion but its unlikely that we will add this functionality for a few of reasons:
1) Access to PVRs. Many PVRs, such as the Topfields, are not available here in the USA.
2) Slow access speed. Not all PVRs can transfer data at a speed that allows for quick editing.
3) Protected formats. Many PVRs encrypt their data (e.g. Tivo) or use strange formats (Humax) and only through some diligent work on the part of dedicated users are programs available that allow the off-load of data.

I use to make use of a Hum,ax PBVR 9200T but there were serious problems transfering files off especially the speed, now the new Panasonjic I have does have a USB port but wont let you transfer video files off to computer only to dvd which is most annoying.
