Could I purchase Video Redo TV Suite now and ask for the beta?

I'm ready to buy the new version but would consider buying now and paying the upgrade if it won't cost a whole lot more to do that.
Sorry for the bump, but any news on this?

I am in the same delimma. I have tried the trial version and like it. But with the unknown pricing to upgrade, I have decided to hold off until pricing is announced.

I also am uncertain as whether H.264 support will be an add on module purchased separately or whether it will be included in version 4.

So will it be:

Pay $xx to upgrade to version 4
Pay $xx to upgrade to H.264 support

or

Pay $xx to upgrade to version 4 with H.264 support

And my trial expires today, I am a sad panda.

Is the new version 4 an editor that can just transcode to h.264 or can it edit h.264 (X.264) material within various containers e.g. MKV along with the audio ?

It can edit H.264 as well. However the initial release will only support H.264 in TS or MP4 containers. We have MKV support on our list of future features, but for now you'll have to use something like tsMuxerGUI to convert the MKV to TS before you'll be able to edit in VRD.

I am too Hydra. I have given up doing anything with the H264 files until the new VRD comes out. Hope it is soon.

What is the latest on when the new Videoredo version with support for HD PVR (h.264) files is going to be available? It has been talked about here and other places for over a year now.
