just posted this, been looking for the answer for a long time. Hope you can help. Thanks Harry
I know I must be doing something wrong. I read other posts that say you can take an mpg2 video, edit it and save it at a different bitrate. I took a news show, cut out what I did not want and ended up with 07 minutes 39 seconds and 45, file size 689,280 KB. I tried to save it in the save as with 2mb/sec bitrate I got same file time, and 670,940 KB the sound I set at 128. I did the create a DVD option with the same settings as the save as option under file and got 07 minutes 39 seconds and 21, no big deal on the time loss, but the file size dripped down to 124,154KB. This is what I need, I save different videos that I may never look at again, but I want them small. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I just want to use the save as command under the file option. I do not want to create a DVD, and have to go reload the file and save it again. Can it be done? Thanks in advance Harry
