    Slient install

Maybe not what you're after, but there is partial silent install support for VRD, though you still have to configure manually. See this post.

    Good bye

Yes, I use Linux MInt as my daily driver and have been running VideoReDo via Wine since v6 came out. There's a thread dedicated to Linux here.

    Good bye

Downloads as an exe in Firefox on Linux. Looking at the certificates for both 836a and 836d, it shows as the same certification path:

TVSuite V6 works on Linux with WineHQ (personally rated 'Silver')

I don't know if any of the Linux community are interested in this but, on the off-chance, in an attempt to make checking for TV adverts a bit less manual, and as we can't use Batch Manager or VideoReDo Auto Processor as they rely on COM calls, I actually wrote a Python script! It's on GitHub if...

PlayOn and remove commercials with markers?

The one thing I'm missing as a Linux user. Always used VAP with VideoReDo when I was on Windows, but sadly COM doesn't work yet with Wine.

You shall not, nor permit any party to: (i) use or make the Software available for the benefit of any third party, including without limitation, in an outsourcing or timesharing arrangement, or in the...

    Increase output window size

I agree. There are many things that are MUCH higher priority than making the output window resizeable. It'll get done. Dan has already confirmed as much. In the meantime it's not the end of the world if you occasionally have to use the scrollbar to see the output in full.

TVSuite V6 works on Linux with WineHQ (personally rated 'Silver')

Hi @Dave B. Quite happy for you to update/improve the script. It's something I've not done a lot of, just thought it may be of use to someone. Modify away :)

Run Videoredo in the background - lower priority

I can't help with the script file unfortunately. I don't use it (or Windows anymore for that matter), but take a look here and see if there's anything useful you can add to the script. Option three maybe if you're calling it from the command-line?

Run Videoredo in the background - lower priority

You could always try using Task Manager and setting the priority lower.

TVSuite V6 works on Linux with WineHQ (personally rated 'Silver')

As I've been playing around with Linux Mint 20 and making a new script to automate the software and settings I use, I thought I'd also try doing something similar for VideoReDo. I don't know if it's of any use to anyone, but just in case, here's what I've currently got. #!/bin/bash #...

TVSuite V6 works on Linux with WineHQ (personally rated 'Silver')

Thanks @Dave B. I did do a fresh install yesterday and noticed both those things, but didn't test again to see if it was just a fluke. Thanks for confirming :)

Disable Thumbnails to improve seeking (Using mouse wheel)

I didn't think it could be as simple as that, and having re-read your original post I see you'd already tried that. Apologies.

F11 or 'View - Show Thumbnails'?

    cannot parse/edit certain mkv (h264)

Apologies if I'm on the wrong track here, but Tvheadend has two options to try and detect the start/stop/adverts in a recording. The first is called 'Use EPG running state' and the second is 'Skip commercials'. Both options are in the Configuration/Recording section. If you untick them it...

TVSuite V6 works on Linux with WineHQ (personally rated 'Silver')

Can't say I ever use that feature, though I was aware it was there. You're correct though in that it doesn't appear to work with D3D11 in Wine at the moment (at least with the current 5.0 stable release).

    Converting DVDs

I can't say I've had any problems playing back MKVs. I ripped all my DVDs with MakeMKV and have been converting all my recorded TV programs with VideoReDo to the same format. I do tend to mainly use Kodi for playback on my Raspberry Pi's but I've not had any issues on anything else I've used...

How about MKV? Lossless and keeps the DVD chapters as well as saving a little space compared to the MPG.
