I have several files made by hadbrake using equal setting and i want to cut without reencoding. I make my cuts as usual but when i'm going to "save video as" here is the problem... With some files it works fine, but with some other files Videoredo get stucked...the "remaining time" increases till infinite instead of decreasing...
Any idea to solve the problem ?

Which Version are you using?

I do experiance this myself too with some Videos in the Beta 618 and i have no idea why that is now.
It simply doesnt continues.

Have you used chapters or no chapters creating the MP4?

A lot of Handbrake generated files have variable frame rates. VideoReDo can not handle variable frame rate video. You can check to see if this is your problem by looking at the source MP4 file in MediaInfo. If it says the frame rate is variable then you will not be able to edit it in VRD.

I'm using 600 of videoredo.. there some benefit in an upgrade ?!? I read that you have problems with newest versions..

@Dan203
My Handbrake setting is "avarage bitrate = 2.000 " for all files.. but only some file doesn't works on Videoredo. i will try to set costant bitrate..

Now i solved using Quicktime for cutting without reencoding.. .. but ther is no "batch queue " :((((

I said frame rate, not bitrate. There is a free program called MediaInfo. Install it, then open one of the problem file in it. Switch to Text view and then look for the video info. Does it have the frame rate listed as variable or constant? Actually why don't you copy and paste the info here. It might give us some insight as to what's wrong.

Atm with the 619 Update its a blast to work with it.
Honestly a huge Step again in even bigger comfort with auto MKV Chapters, accurate unskippy MKV / MP4 Playback. Its really worth an upgrade from 600 also for Multilingual Support and sure other fixes improvements which i perhaps do not use atm but others might be really happy with.

Hoping helpful for Handbrake user..
For generate constant framerate file just add ":r=25" in the advanced tab.
I tried on several files and it works :D

You probably want to try to match the source frame rate, otherwise it will have to do a frame rate conversion which can effect quality. So if the source file's frame rate is 25fps then :r=25 is fine, but for 29.97fps video you'd want :r=29.97, etc... You can check the source file's frame rate in MediaInfo if you're not sure.
