DanR has passed away

I would hesitate to attempt to characterize this complicated situation. I think the best way to learn about it is to search for posts by @Dan203 dated between 1/1/2023 and 5/15/2023. This will give a picture of what he has done, and what he thinks cannot be done, due to either legal or technical constraints. Clearly the next move is up to whatever entity has legal control of the LLC.

I'm actually wishing for the current status to continue as I can continue to use VRD and reinstall it if I need to. I now believe that any change is likely to make things worse. However, the rational part of me is at a loss to explain how we are still in this limbo. The company has surely been operating for approaching a year with negative cash flow.
Besides webhosting, do we know what else would/could contribute towards the negative cash flow?

I thought I was on safe ground assuming that if sales had been suspended cashflow could only be negative, whether it be like a dripping tap or a waterfall. There are plenty of things that COULD contribute to negative cashflow but I have no idea what they might be in this particular instance and, as has been pointed out earlier, speculation does not advance the discussion.
Perhaps this is the real point: the only people who might know aren't talking.

Just quoting this bit as VideoReDo does work on Windows 11.
I have version 5, I was lead to believe that version 5 would not continue to work if I upgraded to Windows 11. Furthermore, I was given to understand that if I downloaded version 6 I would never be able to get the license validated.

Do I have the details wrong? I would love to use VRD on Windows 11 but I thought that was not possible.

Both VideoReDo 5 and 6 work on Windows 11 so if you have a licence you should have no problem installing or activating either. If you haven't already purchased a licence for v6 then you will not be able to purchase one as sales are no longer possible.

Oh dear. My sincere condolences to Dan and family.
I'm also in my 70s and aware we are stepping aside for the children.

I have been using his software for almost 20 years and have appreciated the deep knowledge provided.

Many thanks and my thoughts throughout.

Oh my goodness. My sincere condolences to Dan and family.
I'm 69 and realise as well we're the generation on the top of the stairs and can fall from it by day.

I use his software from version4 and so happy with it, so have appreciated the deep knowledge provided.

Many thanks and my thoughts throughout.

This strange Dan203 has now finally disappeared. No loss. Apart from causing confusion, he has contributed nothing. No loss.

DanR didn't provide for the current case, not even when he got sick and therefore VRD will still be active for a while for legal reasons and at some point from one day to the next no longer.
