Hi I was editing some old stuff from old capture card. I never seen this issue before. Now when i select the ts profile it said minor recode to save the video. I never seen videoredo do this for any time for the profile all i changed in the default was i unchecked allow many audios and in creased the max bitrate. I use these steps for years on any versions Now for a test i created my own profile but i changed only the max bitrate to auto and i did not get a minor recode at all when i selected my made profile. I have the log file saved i know you guys will need it. Did something changed in the latest version? I do not remember if this happened in other old versions. I haven't edited videos in a while. Using windows 10. The captures im editing is from a old Hauppauge hd card. If you need sample too. Ill do that. Just let me know what you guys need.

Minor record means you have the "max gop length" in the output profile set to something other than "no change". It's called a "minor" recode because:
a) We don't know until save time if any GOPs will exceed the GOP length.
b) Only part of the GOPs are recoded, not the whole GOP. However, because it it uses a slower encoder to do the GOP splitting, if most of the GOPs in the file need to be split, it might be slower than a full recode.
c) Should only apply if the source and destination video codec are MPEG2.

I understand that i looked into my created profile and the ts default one. mine for gop said no change so i removed the 15 from the gop part of the ts profile. Is it ok not having no gop listed? Will it cost any problems on final saved file and me playing the edit file on nividia shield? My files are mpeg-ts
