Hallo Group,

I would like to enable a few things in Videoredosuite.
First, enable the confirmation for batch editing.
What i mean, is that I am looking for a way that I can make a choise to enter the things to be editted into the batchfile, but in a way I do not have to comfirm this every time.
So, I a mark is made to enter a job into the batchfile, every job commes automaticly in the same batchfile.
Now one have to confirm this for every job.

Further,
I would like to disable the popup that telles me a job in addet to the batchfile, and askes this is ok.
This popp commes with a sound.
Please how do I disable this popup and also the sound?

and last but not least,

How do I handle to make that when i enter an curtain videocodec for an output file, this remains for the time aslong as I do not chaince this myself?

Greetings, Hooping and looking foreward for a responce,

Denis

You can queue to batch in one step by pressing Ctrl+B.

You can not disable the popup that displays after. The reason this is there is because witout it there would be no visual difference to the user between clicking the OK and the Cancel buttons. This serves as a way to indicate to the user that queuing to batch was successful.

We discussed this and decided we're going to make it one of those dialogs with a "don't show this again" check. So if you want to turn it off you can.

Hallo,
Before I was ussing Virtualdubmod to edit and convert mpeg files to DIVX.
In that program is a option that askes for "do not start this convert imeadiatly.
If one makes that as enable the jobs are send to a joblist wir-th can be stardet the moment the user want himself.
So, aslong as that option is enabled it stays this way, and the job will not be started before user say' so.
Maybe this is a tip for you and your team to look for.

Hope you see what i mean, if not you can download Vitualdubmod for free to see.
Friendly greeting,

Denis

The batch manager in VRD has a similar option. By default the jobs are queued to batch but not run. (unless the batch manager is already running) You have to manually start the batch manager and click run to start it running. However if you go to Tools-Options-Batch options there are options to launch the batch manager as soon as a job is queued and one to start it in a running state. So if you set those options then the batch manager will be launched automatically as soon as a job is queued and start processing the jobs immediately.

Please can you help me out in this?

Hallo,

Thank you again.

I do have to ask again if there is no way to make it possible when the operator makes a choise to use the batchfile, it is simular for the next editings.
So it want be needed the oparator must agree and not have to make the mark for "use batchfile".
As long as the user is not changing his (her) mind, al future work is over the batch.

Friendly greetings,

Denis

@Denis, I've opened up a development request so that the "queue to batch" on the file save dialog will be remembered. Is this what you are looking for?.

Thanks Dan.
This will be a relief for people like me who keep forgetting to re-click the checkbox.

There isn't a way to totally ignore all problems. Do you know what the issue is with the file, or would you like to upload the file to us to check out?

Hallo,

Thank you for reply. The problem is VRD is staying in modus trying to take te files, up to so long it stops or I have to stop it using taskmanager because it does not stops.
Sending you the files is not possible, they ar 30 Gb in size.

If the files are transport streams, you can use Tools>Trim to isolate smaller sections which crash / stops videoredo. Then you'll have a something small enough to upload. Without any samples to work with, I'm not sure there's much we can do to solve the problem.
